Episode 7

Taking a break from our normal reviews of TV and Film we look at two classic British comics.

I must confess that I got a bit carried away, these are both comics that mean a lot to me. Almost as much as my Big Daddy autograph. And that's why the podcast is almost double its normal size.

If you're a person of a certain age then both of these will reflect a time more innocent. A time when you could spend your pocket money and be entertained for hours. A time when a free gift was more than just a sheet of stickers.

First up we have a comic that simply wouldn't die, it has had at least two incarnations, and I wouldn't be surprised if it has another resurgence. I give you by review of The Eagle.

And how could I not mention a comic that has international fame. A comic that has spawned two films. A comic that is science fiction, science fantasy and also Celtic folklore.

It's a comic that I still pick up, that I still have vivid dreams about. And most of all has had some of the finest writers ever grace its pages.

The most magnificent, the still relevant - 2000AD

And I couldn't display 2000AD without displaying the dark judges.
